Spend five minutes with Kailen Yost and you will see she is a smart, talented, driven woman who has worked hard to get where she wants to be.
Kailen began the process to get her real estate license when she was a freshman at Colorado State University. By the end of that year, she had her license and went on to graduate from CSU with a business degree in three and a half years.
“College is not a cheap experience,” Kailen said. “But college was something that was very important to me.”
Kailen received a few scholarships to attend CSU. She said the Bright Futures Scholarship helped put her and her family’s mind at ease. She has been a huge advocate of the program encouraging anyone to apply.
“Bright Futures has significantly influenced my higher education journey, and I hold this organization in the highest regard,” she said. “It provided me with the opportunity to give back to my community while receiving financial support for my college degree at Colorado State University. My family and I are grateful for Bright Futures.”
Weld County roots run deep with Kailen. She is the third generation in her family to grow up in Johnstown and attend Roosevelt High School. Now, she is a Realtor at Tallent Co. Real Estate in Johnstown.
Recently engaged, Kailen and her fiancée had to plan their futures after graduating and they came to the conclusion that settling in Johnstown was the best for them.
“It was totally in my plan,” she said. “There was something about Weld County and specifically Johnstown. This is where we are meant to be.”
